Small Backyard Gardening

Hey Everyone! I hope you are staying safe but managing to enjoy some time outdoors. This is a crazy time we are living in and while some of our “norms” are not so normal, we are making the best we all can. I wanted to share what I planted in my garden this year and of course the amazing garden steaks I got from a semi-local company!

“Cloffice” Transformation

Well hello my friends, this is kind a fun little DIY project I am bringing to you. I was working to figure out the best layout for our Office/Guest Room. I have this amazing shelf from the Brick, its quite large and since I was not parting ways with it, I was trying to figure out who to fit a desk into the mix! In comes the Cloffice (closet office). I am loving this little nook now. A perfect little social distancing project! Take a look through & stay safe my friends!

Shiplap Bar

Hey Friends, welcome back! We had the beautiful bar in our basement that Devin built when he first moved in, with legitimate barn wood from his Grandma’s house. As rustic and beautiful as it was, we were discussing resale and thought maybe after building the fireplace that if we shiplapped it with nice white shiplap to match the fireplace it might go over better for potential buyers. We then decided to add that to the list of projects we were going to work on in the basement.

Embracing your Space

Buckle in, I feel like this is a long one. I was editing some photos for my Instagram last week and I the thought that I should probably talk a bit more about our house & space and how we have embraced styling our 1200sqft builder grade townhouse AND I KNOW to some that is way bigger than their space and to others that is tiny. Either way, that is what we work with at our house. While this might not be the house we dreamed about living in, we definitely worked hard over the past couple of years to make it darn close, now if only the back yards were fenced, I wouldn’t really want to leave LOL!

DIY Electric Fireplace Reveal

This is probably the most exciting post I have yet to share, because I finally got a fireplace! I am soo over the moon about this! We used a couple different tutorials to get the idea of what we would need to do that I will link below for you to check out. The idea originally came from Brooke at Nesting With Grace, which I have mentioned like 100 times is my fave blogger in the world. Once I realized that its something that could be done I was itching to do one somewhere, it was just a matter of using the space in the most efficient way.

#Girlshowyourface : Get to know me!

I was inspired by the #girlshowyourface hashtag to create this post! Considering my blog is so new, I figured it would be a good post to do a “get to know you” kinda thing! Let me start by saying, taking these photos for this and my “about” section was basically the most awkward expeirence of my life. You can expect to not see new photos of my face on this platform for like 3 years now that they are done LOL!

Going “Live” With the Rocky Way House

HI! I finally got everything for The Rocky Way House set up and live and man let me tell you it was no joke. It took lots of time and effort but I am so happy, I think everything turned out great. Not only that, but I was straight up terrified to share it on my Facebook & socials and really “go live”. Why is putting yourself out there so scary? I am glad its live and that I get to share with everyone because its become a really fun hobby!
